 Limit, No Limit and Pot Limit Games
- Limit Games: In a limit game, the maximum betting is limited to fixed values that are stimulated before the game commences. When you are looking at poker games within online casinos, they will have two numbers next to the game. E.g. £10/£20. These numbers are the lower and upper limits respectively.
- No Limit Games: In a no limit (NL) game, the player is allowed to raise the bet to any amount up to the current number of chips that the player has on the table. The player can also raise by an unlimited amount.
- Pot Limit Games: In a pot limit (PL) game, the maximum bet is restricted to the current value of the pot. However, the players are allowed to make unlimited raises.
 Texas Hold'em
If you like to play poker quickly, then this is the game for you. Texas Hold’em is definitely the quickest and is probably the most popular of the game types to play. If you are just starting to play this is the game to learn. Each player is dealt two cards face down (hole cards). There are five cards dealt face up, which are known as community cards. There is a round of betting between each card. The players use a combination of their own hole cards and the community cards to form their best hand of five cards. Up to ten people can play at a time and there are only four rounds so each game is fast-paced and full of action!

 7 Card Stud
7 Card Stud is probably the game that most players will be familiar with. It is normally the first game that people tend to learn as they enter the wonderful world of poker. Initially, each player is dealt two cards face down (Down Card), and one card face up (Up Card). The player with the lowest Door card (the Up Card with the lowest ranking value) opens the first round of betting. Three more cards are dealt face up with a round of betting between each card. Finally, a card is dealt face down to each player and the last round of betting begins. The players then have to make their best hand from five of the seven cards that they hold.

 Omaha High
Omaha High is a similar game to Texas Hold'em, with only two exceptions:
- At the beginning of the game, players are dealt four cards instead of two.
- Players must use two out of their four hole cards combined with three of the five community cards to form their best hand of five cards.

Omaha High/Low
Omaha High/Low is very similar to Omaha High, however, in High/Low, the pot is split 50-50 between the best high hand and the best qualifying low hand. The low hand must consist of five cards of different values ranked eight or lower. Tournament Rules
In a poker tournament, each player competes against a group of other players until only one player is left. Each player's success level is determined by their ranking against their competitors.
